<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>There is a genetic predisposition to psoriasis (PS) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA), in which some cytokine genes are involved. Identification of polymorphic variants of immune response genes (i.e.,cytokines and their specific receptors) is a promising direction for studies of genetic risk factors responsible for development of skin and joint inflammation in psoriasis and PsA. Immune disorders characterized by the deviation of cytokine profile by Th1-type (IL-2, IFNγ, TNFα) play a leading role in immunopathogenesis ofpsoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The review deals with analysis of publications regarding the role of cytokine gene polymorphisms associated with clinical course of psoriasis and PsA. Further search for genetic markersdetermining clinical risks of PS and PsA would be an important step in personalized approach to prediction of occurrence and clinical course of the disease, as well as to arrangement of preventive measures, in order to prevent potential progression of the disease.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>псориаз</kwd><kwd>псориатический артрит</kwd><kwd>полиморфизм генов</kwd><kwd>цитокины</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>psoriasis</kwd><kwd>psoriatic arthritis</kwd><kwd>gene polymorphism</kwd><kwd>cytokines</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Dovzhanskiy S.I., Pinson I.Yа.
